My Story, My Mission
About
My Story.
My Mission.
My personal transformation
In August 2019 I decided that I wanted more from life.
At my biggest I had reached 18 Stone and 12 Pounds and was wearing a UK Size 22-24 clothing.
I was fed up with feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I wanted to live a life with a body I loved, which was healthy and active.
At this stage I suffered with mobility issues that not only caused my physical distress it also affected my mental health.
I craved more energy to get me through the day, I was sick and tired of feeling miserable about how looked and how I felt. I would shy away from people in fear of being seen and judged on my appearance. I was no longer living but merely existing.
I became angry for “letting go” of myself and for gaining the weight. At the same time, I felt frustrated and annoyed because I had no idea how to change, or where to even start to begin to LOSE the weight and KEEP IT OFF.
I had lived a life of dieting, losing and gaining weight on and off and had no idea how to maintain a healthier lifestyle. I didn’t set a personal target or weight loss goal, I just decided that I was going to make changes which would give me a new lease of life.
Slowly, I made small changes to my daily routine, I started taking my health seriously. I was unable to exercise due to joint pains, lack of endurance and mobility, so I firstly started with food and my mindset. I created new habits which were small…
The first habit was to drink more water. My goal was to drink at least 2 glasses of water a day. After doing that for 2 weeks, I already began to notice changes. My skin looked brighter and I had a bit more energy. Other habits I incorporated included eating more veggies at every meal and paying attention to portion sizes. All of these habits led to massive results. I had completely transformed my body and lost weight. No juice cleanses. No workouts I hated. No magic potions or pills—just by creating new habits which then enabled me to start exercising.

Motivation
Expectations …..
The hardest thing about trying to lose weight is the acceptance and management of our own expectations.
Sometimes we spend so much time looking for the physical changes that we don’t notice the early signs of health benefits, such as enhanced sleep, improved mobility and a boost in our energy levels.
Its important to remain kind to ourselves because our bodies are undergoing some extreme changes, it is no longer being fed all the sugary snacks, full processed foods or takeaways it has become used to.
We are re-educating our minds to listen to our body which takes time, patience and practice.
